GREEN BEANS GERMAN STYLE 
4 slices bacon, diced
1/3 c. chopped onion
3 tbsp. vinegar
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. flour
16 oz. can green beans, drained and 1/3 cup liquid reserved

In medium skillet, fry bacon and onion until bacon is crisp, drain. Stir in vinegar, sugar, flour and reserved bean liquid. Heat until thickened and smooth. Add beans and heat through. Makes 3 to 4 servings.
