This is an old favorite in my family. I was a kid that had a sweet tooth. I LOVED deserts. When Mom served this casserole however, forget desert.I was stuffed from this classic dish. love it!

I always thought my Mom made this one up. Great with diced celery and/or mushrooms added in. A bit of heavy cream is good also.

This has been a family favorite for more than 5 decades. It's good to discover it again. I had not made it for over 20 years because my husband didn't eat peas or tina or mushrooms. I recently moved in with Mom to take care of her and the house and made it for HER this time, and it was such a treat. Thank you for posting this.

I have always enjoyed a good tuna potato chip casserole... I also included sautéed onions, celery and black olives with cheese on top. Try it, it's delicious!
