RAISIN PUFF COOKIES 
1 c. dark raisins
1/2 c. gold raisins
1 c. water
1 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Cook raisins and water together. Cool and drain.

Cream shortening, sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Mix dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture. Roll in balls and roll in granulated sugar. Bake at 375 degrees. Do not over bake.
