CORN BREAD FRITTERS 
1 c. cornmeal
1 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg
Milk for stiff batter

Mix dry ingredients together. Beat eggs and add enough milk to make stiff batter. Drop from teaspoon into deep, hot fat and cook until golden brown. Drain on paper.
