SLOW COOKER PORK ROAST 
3-5 lb. pork roast
Salt and pepper
1 clove garlic, chopped
1 lg. onion, sliced
2 bay leaves
1 c. hot water
2 tbsp. soy sauce

Broil roast on all sides to remove excess fat and brown slightly, about 15 to 20 minutes. Put half of sliced onion in bottom of crock pot. Add browned roast and remaining onion and other ingredients. Cover and cook until done on low, about 10 hours for a 5 pound roast, 8 or 9 hours for a small one. I usually turn the roast over when it is about half done.
