CHOCOLATE FILLED KUCHEN 
1 pkg. (1 tbsp.) yeast
1/4 c. warm water
3/4 c. milk, scalded
1/3 c. butter, softened
1 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 1/2 c. flour
1 c. chocolate chips
1 egg, beaten

Dissolve yeast in water. Combine milk, butter, sugar and salt. Stir until butter melts. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Stir in yeast. Gradually add flour, beating well. Turn out on floured surface and knead 8 minutes. Cover and let rise until doubled, about 1 to 1 1/2 hours.

Punch down and roll out into a 14x22 inch rectangle. Sprinkle chocolate chips over dough. Roll up, starting with long side, seal seam. Place seam down on cookie sheet in a circle and seal ends. Slash every inch or so. Cover and let rise 1 hour. Brush with beaten egg and bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.
