CINNAMON KUCHEN 
2 pkg. of dry active yeast
3 c. - 1 1/2 milk and 1 1/2 water
3 tsp. salt
3 rounded tbsp. sugar
3 rounded tbsp. Crisco, melted
1 egg, beaten
7 c. flour, sifted

Dissolve yeast, sugar and 1 1/2 water (warm to touch) in a bowl stir with a fork. Let sit for 10 minutes-if mixture fizzes it is good and you can use it. In a large bowl put the milk and salt, then add yeast mixture. Then add 4 cups flour sifted (one cup at a time) mix until smooth. Add beaten egg and warm Crisco. Add 1 cup sifted flour and mix well. Add another 2 cups sifted flour (one at a time) 2nd cup mix with hands. Cover bowl and let rise-double the size. Remove from bowl onto floured board. Knead a little then cut in 3 even pieces-put each one in a buttered pan. Let rise again. Top with melted butter with brush-Spread cinnamon and sugar (mixed) on top. Bake at 325 degrees for 20 minutes.
