PEACH KUCHEN | |
2 c. sifted flour 1/4 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1 c. sugar 1/2 c. Crisco 12 peach halves 1 tsp. cinnamon 2 egg yolks 1 c. sour cream Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Sift flour, baking powder, salt and 2 tablespoons sugar together. Work in butter until mixture is like cornmeal. Pile in 8 inch greased square pan and put in even layer over bottom and halfway up sides. Place peach halves over pastry. Sprinkle mixture of cinnamon and remaining sugar over top. Bake 15 minutes. Mix egg yolks and sour cream and pour over Kuchen. bake 30 minutes longer. Can be served warm. |
