PEACH PRESERVES | |
3 qts. peaches, sliced & drained 6 c. sugar Juice of 1 lemon Place peaches in large bowl. Add sugar and lemon juice. Stir gently and let sit for 1 or 2 hours. Bring to a hard rolling boil. Remove from heat and pour into shallow pan. Cover and let stand overnight. The next day, again bring peaches to a full rolling boil and boil for 30 minutes, stirring often to prevent scorching. Spoon into hot sterilized jars and seal. |
