BUTTERSCOTCH APPLE SQUARES 
1/4 c. butter
1 1/2 c. graham cracker crumbs
1 1/4 c. pared, chopped apples
1 pkg. butterscotch morsels
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 can flaked coconut
1 c. chopped walnuts
Whipping cream (optional)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees, 325 degrees for glass dishes. In a 13 x 9 inch baking dish, melt butter in oven. Sprinkle crumbs evenly over butter. Spread apples evenly over crumbs.

In top of double boiler, melt morsels with sweetened condensed milk. Pour butterscotch mixture evenly over apples. Top with coconut and nuts. Press down gently. Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool well. Chill before serving. Top with whipped cream, if desired. Refrigerate leftovers.
