CABBAGE AND NOODLES | |
1 med. head cabbage 1/2 lb. butter Salt Pepper Onion salt Mueller's Old Fashioned Egg Noodle (wide) 1. Place a large pan of water on and bring to a boil (add salt/oil to prevent sticking). 2. While waiting for the water to boil, place the butter into an electric skillet at 250 degrees. 3. Chop the cabbage into thin strips and add to the melted butter. 4. Sprinkle with salt, pepper and onion salt to taste. 5. Simmer until tender (about 15 minutes). 6. While the cabbage is simmering, add 1/3 of a pound bag of noodles to the boiling water. Cook 9 minutes, or until tender. Stir occasionally so that the noodles to not stick to the bottom of the pan. 7. Drain the noodles when done and add to the cooked cabbage. Stir gently and serve. |
