CHOCOLATE CARAMEL CAKE | |
14 oz. pkg. caramels 1/3 c. milk 1/2 c. butter 3/4 c. chocolate chips 1/2 c. chopped pecans 1 German chocolate cake mix with pudding in mix Mix caramels, milk and butter - melt. Mix cake as directed. Grease and flour 13 x 9 inch cake pan. Pour 1/2 of cake batter in pan, bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Spread melted caramels over hot cake. Sprinkle with chocolate chips and nuts. Cover with remaining cake batter. Bake 20 minutes at 250 degrees. Raise temperature to 300 degrees and bake 10 minutes longer, golden brown. Brush cake with butter. Serve with whipped cream. |
