BOUNDARY WATERS JERKY 
1 to 1 1/2 boneless beef top round, partly frozen and sliced in 1/8 inch thick strips
2 tbsp. water
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. salt
2 cloves garlic, pressed
1/8 tsp. cayenne
1 tsp. ground cumin
1 1/2 tsp. chili powder

Stir together. Put beef and marinade in Ziplock bag. Marinate several hours or overnight. Put strips on cooling racks; set in foil lined pans.

Dry in oven on lowest setting until brittle. Keeps forever in the refrigerator and for a long time in a pack hanging from a tree if bears can't reach it.
