OVERNIGHT SAUSAGE-EGG CASSEROLE 
1 lb. bulk sausage
9 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
1 1/4 tsp. salt
3 c. milk
12 slices white bread (do not use wheat)
1 (10 oz.) pkg. grated cheddar cheese
Dash of nutmeg (optional)
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

Crumble and brown sausage. Mix eggs, mustard, salt and milk. Cube and remove crust from 12 slices of white bread. Lay bread cubes over bottom of 11x13 inch baking dish.

Sprinkle cooked sausage over bread. Sprinkle cheese over sausage. Pour egg mixture over all and refrigerate (covered) overnight. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.

I can imagine why this recipe doesn't get more reviews; it is simple, basic and easy to prepare. No comment! However, it has become an old, faithful standard that we look to when we want lots of good food for several, or many visitors. You can add cooked onion, and additional seasoning like Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco sauce and dry mustard. Lovely!

Easy as can be. Looks great and is delicious. I made two casseroles for a wedding shower brunch. Expected 30 guests; served 24 and had plenty left over. Some added Frank's Red Hot. This will be my go-to overnight casserole.
