HERSHEY BAR POUND CAKE | |
1/2 lb. butter 2 c. sugar 4 eggs 2 tsp. vanilla 1/2 tsp. salt 6 Hershey bars 2 tbsp. water 2 1/2 c. sifted flour 1 c. buttermilk 3/4 tsp. baking soda 1/2 c. chopped nuts Melt candy bars in double boiler with water. Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each. Add vanilla, salt and melted candy bars. Mix baking soda with buttermilk. Add flour and buttermilk alternately. Fold in nuts. Bake in a greased tube or Bundt pan in preheated 325°F oven for 1 hour and 20-25 minutes or until done. Sprinkle cake with powdered sugar. Keeps well. |
