 Baking Mom (California) says:
Just made them without cloves, for kids party. The birthday girl told me "they taste like nothing". Unfortunately they were bland! Think I will up the nuts and raisins. The recipe was really quick and easy to make though.

This is a keeper! A soft moist cookie with lots of flavor, no sugar.

Adding agave nectar will give them sweetness while still being healthy! My nephews love it!!!

 CarolynDombrowski (Michigan) says:
Well I must say these cookies are better than nothing. But my son would not eat them. My daughter can not have sugar and I made them with dried cranberries. They were OK. Better than not having a cookie at all.

 Jadean (Wyoming) says:
I added a pinch of salt, a couple of teaspoons of honey enough to add some sweet without the fake chemical poisons of fake and real sugar, also used half unbleached organic flour and half organic rice flour and had to add some for the high altitude, still came out great

 Bobbiann (Nova Scotia) says:
I love these! If you are used to the usual cookies with lots of sugar, these will taste bland but when you have not been eating any sugar, honey, maple syrup or other sweeteners, these are delicious. My 15-year-old son and I love them, and even my husband, who is not off sugar, thinks they are pretty good.

I made these for my daughter's 6th birthday party. There were about 15 kiddos there and they ALL loved these. A huge crowd pleaser. The birthday girl ate 4. I will use use this recipe again! Thanks!

 Edward (Arizona) says:
Nice but even after adding a 1/2 cup of Splenda, they could have been sweeter.

 Paula Davis (United States) says:
Pretty bland. I added a couple of banana the second time around and it was better. Also added some coconut. And 1/2 cup more of oats and flour. Because the original recipe seemed a soupy. Also helps to let the dough rest in the fridge before baking.

 Carolyn Tomlin (Kansas) says:
They are gross!

 Kim (New Hampshire) replies:
Miss sweet tooth misses the sugar methinks.
