WORKING MOM'S BEEF AND BARLEY SOUP | |
1 lb. (more or less) beef chuck in 1 inch cubes 1 med. yellow onion, chopped 1 clove garlic, minced (optional) 3 lg. mushrooms, sliced (optional) 1/2 c. barley 5 beef bouillon cubes 6 c. water, boiling 1 sm. can tomato sauce Brown beef in small amount of oil. Put in crock pot. Add onion, garlic, mushrooms, barley, bouillon, water and tomato sauce to crock pot. Set on low. Cook for 6 - 10 hours, depending upon when you get home from work. |
