CHEWY BREAD 
3 eggs
1 lb. brown sugar
1 stick butter, softened
2 c. self-rising flour
1 c. coconut
1 c. chopped nuts
1 tsp. vanilla

Beat eggs, sugar, and butter until smooth. Stir in flour, coconut, nuts, and vanilla. Spread in greased and floured 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan. Bake at 325 degrees about 45 minutes. Let cool in pan, uncovered, then cut into squares.
