CHEWY BUTTERSCOTCH BARS 
1 1/3 c. cake flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 c. brown sugar, packed
1/2 c. butter
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. coconut
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs

Cream sugar and butter. Add eggs. Mix in nuts, coconut, and dry ingredients. Spread in 11 x 15 x 1 inch pan, greased and floured. Prepare topping and drizzle while hot over batter. Bake at 350 degrees for 1/2 hour.

TOPPING:

2/3 c. brown sugar
2 tbsp. cream
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. dark syrup

Stir together. Cook, stirring occasionally until it forms a soft ball in very cold water. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla. Drizzle over batter.
