DEVIL'S FOOD CAKE 
1 3/4 c. cake flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/3 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 tsp. red color
2 squares Baker's chocolate (unsweetened)
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Beat dry ingredients, shortening and 2/3 cup milk

2 minutes.

Add 1/3 cup milk, 2 eggs, melted chocolate, red food coloring, vanilla.

Beat 2 minutes put in two 9" layer pans.

Bake 325 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes.
