GERMAN APPLE BARS | |
2 eggs, beaten 1 c. oil 2 c. white sugar 2 c. flour 2 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. vanilla 4 c. apples, diced (food chopper) 1/2 c. nut meats Mix together and spread on greased 15 x 10 inch cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. FROSTING: 2 sm. pkgs. cream cheese 3 tbsp. butter 1 tsp. vanilla 1 1/2 c. powdered sugar For 1 cup white sugar, I substituted 1 cup dry powdered milk and for 1 cup white flour, I substituted 1 cup wheat flour. Also, if cake is desired, put in 9 x 13 inch pan and bake a little longer. |
