GERMAN APPLE CAKE 
2 1/4 c. sifted cake flour
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. butter
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. sour milk or buttermilk
2 eggs
2 tsp. baking soda
2 c. peeled apples, cut thin

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine all the above ingredients. Bake 45 minutes in 350 degree oven.

TOPPING:

1/4 c. granulated sugar
1/4 c. brown sugar

Mix and sprinkle on top before baking.
