NANNY'S GERMAN APPLE CAKE | |
1/2 stick butter 1 cup sugar 2 eggs 1 cup milk 2 cup flour a few drops of vanilla 2 tsp. baking powder 8 large apples, peeled and cored Preheat oven to 350°F. Melt butter in a 11X13 inch baking dish while the oven is preheating. In a mixing bowl combine sugar, eggs, milk, vanilla. Gradually add flour and baking powder. Peel, core, and slice apples. Place apples in baking dish with melted butter. Pour flour mixture over apples. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Apples will rise to the top. Bake for 30 minutes in preheated oven. |
