BUTTER PECAN CHEWIES 
1/2 c. butter, melted
2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 c. chopped pecans

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease pan with butter. Beat eggs until light and foamy in large bowl. Beat in sugar, vanilla and butter until creamy. Combine flour, salt, baking powder, and add to egg mixture. Will be stiff. Spread evenly in prepared pan. Bake for 30 minutes until lightly brown. Cool 15 minutes, then cut into squares.
