BUTTERSCOTCH PECAN CHEWIES 
1 stick butter
1 2/3 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. flour
2 tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped pecans
Confectioners' sugar

Cream brown sugar and butter. Add beaten eggs and vanilla. To these ingredients add baking powder and flour. Add nuts last. Spread mixture in shallow 9 x 13 inch pan, about 1/2 inch thick. Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees. While hot sprinkle confectioners' sugar over top. Cut either into 15 squares or 30 fingers.
