PRUNE CAKE 
1 c. salad oil
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1 c. buttermilk
1 c. chopped, cooked prunes
1 c. chopped nuts (less if desired)
3 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
1/4 tsp. salt

Blend all ingredients together. Pour into greased loaf or tube pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour.

BUTTERMILK ICING:

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. buttermilk
1/4 c. butter
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring

Cook until blended, approximately 20 minutes. Pour over cooked prune cake.
