DESTY'S TALLARENA CASSEROLE | |
1 bell pepper 1 med. onion 1 lb. hamburger meat 1 lg. pkg. wide noodles 1 can stewed tomatoes 1 can Rotel tomatoes (or 2 depending on taste) 1 can cream of mushroom 1 can whole kernel corn 1 can pitted black olives 1 (2 lb.) Velveeta cheese (according to taste) Saute onion and pepper in butter. Add hamburger meat cooking until brown; then add tomatoes (after draining meat), corn and simmer. Cook and drain noodles. Add remaining ingredients slicing olives and cutting Velveeta in chunks. Pour in meat mixture. This makes a hug amount. It will either have to be cooked in a large roaster or 2 separate pans. Cook at 425 degrees for 30-40 minutes until cheese cheese bubbles (covered). This recipe freezes well. Serve with hot bread and salad. |
