MAPLE GLAZED CARROTS 
1 1/2 lbs. carrots
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. water
4 tbsp. butter
1 c. maple syrup

Scrape and cut carrots in half, lengthwise and crosswise. In frying pan, combine carrots with salt and water. Cover and cook 10 minutes; uncover and cook 3 minutes longer until liquid evaporates. Add butter and syrup. Cook slowly, turning carrots to coat for 15 minutes. Serves 6.
