MANDARIN BEEF
2 tbsp. olive oil
1 or 2 lb. flank steak, cut across the flank into thin strips
1/4 c. soy sauce
1 can bean sprouts, drained

1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. ground ginger
2 green peppers, cut into chunks
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. sugar

Heat a multi-cooked fry pan (or electric skillet) to 380 degrees. Place oil in pan and add beef, garlic powder, salt, pepper and ginger. Brown beef quickly. Turn fry pan to simmer and add soy sauce and sugar. Cook covered for 5 minutes. Add green peppers and bean sprouts. Bring to a boil.

Cover and cook 5 minutes. Combine cornstarch and 1/4 cup water and add to beef mixture. Cook, stirring until slightly thickened and serve over rice.
