HAMBURGER CHOW MEIN 
2 ribs celery
1 med. onion
3 tbsp. shortening
1 lb. ground beef
1 can chicken & rice soup
1 can bean sprouts
1 can mixed Chinese vegetables
2 1/2 tbsp. cornstarch
1 3/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. brown sugar
Pepper
2 tbsp. soy sauce
2 tbsp. cold water

Melt shortening and cook onions and ground beef until cooked, not brown. Add celery and soup (cover and cook for 5 minutes). Celery will be crisp.

Mix cornstarch, brown sugar, salt, pepper, soy sauce and water into paste. Add to meat. Mix and stir. Add bean sprouts and vegetables; mix and heat. Serve with rice or chow mein noodles. Serves 4-6.
