YOUTH GROUP'S FAVORITE CHOCOLATE
CHIP COOKIES
 
1 c. butter Crisco (or any shortening)
3/4 c. granulated sugar
3/4 c. packed brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. water
2 eggs
2 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
chocolate chips
nuts

Combine shortening, granulated sugar, brown sugar, vanilla, and water. Beat with an electric mixer. Add eggs and continue to beat. The mixture will be very creamy and light. Add sifted dry ingredients and mix well. Stir in chocolate chips according to taste and nuts if desired.

Bake at 375°F for 10 minutes. Don't let them brown. (They may even not look quite done but will be awesome.)
