1 c. butter
1 c. shortening
2 c. brown sugar
4 eggs
1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
2 tsp. vanilla
4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. baking powder
2 c. oatmeal
2 c. corn flakes
1 c. pecans (optional)

Cream butter, shortening and brown sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Add flour, soda and baking powder. Stir in oatmeal, corn flakes, chocolate chips and pecans. Put on greased cookie sheet with an ice cream scoop. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. These are chewy, makes about 40 large cookies.
