ANNALEE'S CALICO BEANS 
2 lb extra lean ground beef
2 large red onions, sliced thin
3 (15 oz. ea.) cans kidney beans, drained
2 (15 oz.) cans lima beans, drained
3 (16 oz. ea.) cans baked beans in brown sauce (not tomato), drained
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup light molasses
1 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
3/4 tsp. ground cloves
3/4 tsp. ground allspice

Break up meat and brown lightly. Use either the oven or an electric Crock-Pot to prepare the calico beans. Put the browned meat and all the rest of the ingredients into baking dish or Crock-Pot. Stir gently.

Bake in a 350°F oven for an hour, stirring at the half time mark. Or set Crock-Pot on HIGH until food simmers, then turn to LOW for 3 hours. Stir often.

Note: Tastes even better reheated. Freezes well. Makes a good company potluck dish.
