CHEESE BALL | |
2 (8 oz.) pkgs. cream cheese 1 (4 oz.) pkg./carton sour cream Onion, chopped very fine to taste garlic powder (not soft) to taste Olives, chopped to taste 1 pkg. (2 c) Mozzarella cheese, shredded 1 pkg. (2 c.) Cheddar cheese, shredded 1 pkg. (Budding or other) ham, beef, corned beef, chopped fine 1 pkg. pecans, chopped Soften cream cheese at room temperature and use mixer to blend with sour cream. Continue to use mixer with onions, garlic and olives. Care must be given with onion and garlic due to their ability to over power other flavors. Use spoon to fold in Mozzarella, Cheddar and meat. Place in refrigerator for 1 hour to set. Divide into two portions and form ball, roll in nuts. May be served immediately. Will stay fairly fresh in refrigerator for a couple weeks, or the second cheese ball may be frozen for use at another time. Enjoy! |
