VANILLA SAUCE FOR FIG PUDDING | |
1/2 c. sugar 1 tbsp. cornstarch 1 c. boiling water 2 tbsp. butter 1 tsp. vanilla Mix 1/2 cup sugar and 1 tablespoon cornstarch. Add gradually one cup boiling water, stir constantly. Boil 5 minutes. Remove from fire and add 2 tablespoons butter and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Serve hot on steamed fig pudding. Yield: about 1 1/2 cups. |
