CINNAMON BRUNCH COFFEE CAKE | |
2 c. sifted flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1/4 tsp. slat 1/2 c. butter 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese 1 1/4 c. sugar 2 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla 1/3 c. milk 1 c. brown sugar 1/2 c. flour 3 tbsp. softened butter 1 tsp. ground cinnamon Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Sift together flour, baking powder, soda and salt. cream 1/2 cup butter, cream cheese, and sugar until light and fluffy. add eggs one at a time beating well after each addition, add vanilla. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk, beat well. Spread batter in a greased and floured 13 x 9 x 2 inch cake pan. Combine brown sugar, 1/2 cup of flour and 3 tablespoons butter and cinnamon. Sprinkle over batter. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes. If desired, add 1 cup finely chopped pecans to cinnamon mixture. |
