SPICED PEACHES 
5 c. sugar
2 c. water
1 c. vinegar
12 inches stick cinnamon
2 tsp. whole cloves
Canned peach halves

Boil. Pour into large mouth jar. Drop in canned peach halves. Allow to sit several hours or overnight before serving. Peaches will keep about two weeks. The brine will keep indefinitely, just add more peaches to the jar. Keep refrigerated. Half the recipe fills a half gallon jar. Makes enough for 16 peach halves. Good with meats and vegetables, or drain, garnish and use as salad.
