FRIED GREEN TOMATOES 
4 med. green tomatoes
1 egg
1 c. milk
1/4 c. yellow corn meal
1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. whole wheat flour

Slice tomatoes approximately 1/2 inch thick. Beat together egg and milk; set aside. Mix together corn meal, flours, salt and pepper. Dip slices first into liquid mixture, then roll in dry ingredients. Fry at medium heat until lightly browned.
