FRIED GREEN TOMATOES 
4 med. size green tomatoes, cut into 1/4 inch slices
1/2 c. cornmeal
1/4 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper

Combine all dry ingredients and dredge tomatoes slices in mixture. Fry tomato slices in hot oil in skillet until browned, turning once. Drain and place on paper towels.
