2 egg whites 3/4 c. sugar 1 c. chocolate chips Pinch of salt 1 tsp. vanilla 1 c. chopped nuts Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Line a cookie sheet with aluminum foil. Beat egg whites with salt and vanilla until foamy. Add the sugar gradually and continue beating until whites hold a stiff peak. Fold in chocolate chips and nuts. Drop by teaspoonfuls unto foil on cookie sheet. Place sheet in oven and turn oven off. Leave in oven at least eight hours, but no more than 10 hours. Do not open door, even to peek. You can divide the batter and add different combinations of fruits and nuts if you like. Raisins, dates, peanuts, etc. Also may color with food coloring. |
