I forgot to microwave the butter so don't forget that and if you want a cute design on it use a fork to flatten it it probably will turn out CUTE!

Tried it with my little sis!~ I'm only 12 and I can safely say, easy for kids to make as well. Anyone tried using maple syrup instead of vanilla? I did. Cookies cooking right now. I hope they turn out good!

Easy? Yes. Delicious? Meh. I used the amount of flour dictated and my cookies taste like flour with sugar on top. I even added the extra egg and vanilla someone had mentioned. They're not bad, but they're not good either. The recipe just needs some tweaking.

These cookies are so good. I added the extra egg and the vanilla to it too plus my hubby suggested I use 2 tsp of his caramel mocha creamer to it and omg so very good. Ty for sharing this.

So I went ahead and halved the recipie, and after I had mixed the flour in with the rest of the ingredients, I found it looked a little...wet? Not quite wet, but it didn't seem as solid as it should have been? Regardless I took a spoon and dolloped the dough onto the cookie sheet. I'm currently watching them and they SEEM to be coming along alright. I just hope that I added enough flour. I also stuck with one egg and added the vanilla extract. It smells really good so far. An update in a little bit when they're done cooking and have cooled. :)

I wanted something sweet and every sugar cookie recipe I found, you needed baking soda. I found this recipe and thought, 'what the heck'. They were good and satisfied by sweet tooth. It's just they more reminded me of tea cakes rather than sugar cookies....they were were a little less sweeter than I expected. I even added the extra egg and vanilla...but still good...I like tea cakes.

Great recipe, I added a few personals to it too, like vanilla and coffee creamer (personal favorite, adds softness and flavor no exact measure just eyeball as I do with ALL recipes). I didn't use the measurements with this, except the 1 egg, I just used the consistency measure method and popped them in the oven for 20-25 minutes on 350°F.. Badabing! Thanks for this. I was looking for a recipe without baking soda, this is perfect!

I made this recipe because I was short on time and supplies. I mainly just needed some pictures for a photography assignment. They turned out a lot better than I thought. I added an extra egg and vanilla as previous comments suggested, and I'm glad I did. I made them really big, so I ended up with 12 very large cookies. I was surprised by how they turned out!

On a rainy day I really wanted to make sugar cookies but knew I didn't have all the essential ingredients. So I searched and hoped to find something so simple this is perfect! My fiancé isn't much of a sweet tooth so these cookies are great. Sweet but not too sweet. I added an extra egg and greased a cookie sheet with coconut oil. Fantastic recipe.
