OREO COOKIE CREAM PIE
1 pkg. Oreo cookies
1 c. butter, unsalted
1 c. powdered sugar
8 oz. softened cream cheese
24 oz. Cool Whip (2, 12 oz. pkg.) defrost for recipe
2 sm. (3 oz.) boxes instant chocolate fudge pudding or instant reg. chocolate pudding
2 c. milk

Crush Oreo cookies. Put small amount of crumbs aside (2-3 tablespoons). Melt butter and mix with remainder of crumbs. Spread on bottom of 13 x 9 x 2 inch glass pan, packing lightly to form crust.

Combine cream cheese, 12 ounces Cool Whip and sugar. Mix with electric blender at very low speed, until spreading consistency. Spread over crust.

Combine pudding mix with 2 cups milk. Do not let pudding become too thick. Spread over last layer.

Top with second 12 ounce carton of Cool Whip. Sprinkle with reserved cookie crumbs. Refrigerate to store. Serves 15.

Love it! I use fat free milk, low fat whipped topping and 1/3 less fat cream cheese. Also I cut the butter down to 1/2 cup, and I use different flavors of instant pudding from time to time. My family never complains! Easy and Delicious.

I love this recipe! I have been using it for years, and it is always delicious. The one way it can be improved is through a reduction in cool whip and an addition of everything else... I usually make it in a slightly smaller pan to create a thicker crust, and then I use a little bit less cool whip in the cream cheese layer (and I use cool whip lite). I also use some extra chocolate pudding, and then put barely any cool whip on top, just enough to completely cover the surface.
