I cut the recipe in half and added a tiny bit more sugar. They taste wonderful except the cookies came out a little dry.

Great. I added an extra egg and I did not flatten them because I like fat cookies. They cooked a little longer but turned out excellent

Recipe was simple enough to do with my 5 yr old daughter. We just added real vanilla, coconut and chocolate rainbow sprinkles they turned out great. May try next time with coconut, chocolate chips and almond extract.

So I also cut the recipe in half but used a full egg and added some vanilla. When I cooked the cookies they didn't spread at all so they were the exact same size as when I put them on the cookie sheet. They tasted OK but not great. I like the dough though I only cooked like 6 cookies out of it to start and I think I will just eat the dough for the rest of it. (I know I know raw egg but oh well I have been eating raw egg in dough my whole life and I am fine!) I think for kids this might be a good recipe because its easy but I am not really a fan definitely wont use it again.

I used 2 eggs and a tsp. of vanilla and replaced the butter with shortening, they turned out light and fluffy. Just the way I like them.

JUST took these out of the oven! EXCELLENT! added 1 more egg and 1/2 tsp vanilla...this is the recipe I've been looking for....a light shortbread cookie taste...squashed them thin, baked for ten minutes...came out with the little bit of brown around the edges with a snickerdoodle texture...thank you for posting.

I added an extra egg, more flour, more sugar and vanilla extract. I also forgot to add salt but it made it even better! This is a great recipe!

Found this by accident. Didn't have baking soda and wanted to make cookies and still use chocolate chips...so did the recipe but took some of the tips I've read and added an extra egg and 1/2 tsp of vanilla (no one says how much, so I just matched with the salt). Mixed with chocolate chips. To save time I didn't make it cookies, I used a square stone dish and made cookie bars instead. It also doesn't say how long to keep in oven so I started at 12min and monitored the bars. Added another 10min, and then another 5 and they came out great. Just a TAD on the dry side but that can be easily cured with a glass of milk or ice cream.

My bf and I thought we had enough flour to make theses but we did not have enough ... So we compromised and used pancake mix ... With vanilla extract .... Turned out better than we thought they would.

I made this with two eggs and 1 1/3 cups brown sugar. Although the batter was slightly sticky, it wasn't that messy and was easy to squish around on a lightly sprayed cookie sheet. I baked them for around 7 minutes, and added a couple two minute intervals until they were slightly browning on the edges. Very yummy! Fluffy and dense, nice and sweet. Family approved!
