I just made these. The batter tasted great. I used a small cookie scoop but the cookies got huge in the oven and mushed together. They are super flat now. The taste is good but better where the didn't run into each other. I was going to take them to a friend but not as a big mess together. I'd make these again but now know to only put a few on the tray together so the don't run together.

This has been one of our favorite family cookie recipes for years. I clipped it out of a magazine over 20 years ago. It is so quick & easy, just like they say and great even w/o the nuts. There have been many times we have learned last minute we needed to take a dessert somewhere, and these come out quick and perfect every time. They actually taste more like a brownie, than your typical cookie. They do spread on the pan and become fairly flat, so we always use a small scoop and leave space for expansion.

These were delicious. And thanks for the tip (Nicole) about the cookies spreading so much in the oven. I kept them down to 12 per sheet and the size of "superballs" and they came out perfect.

I made these when I had a chocolate craving. Very easy to make, I only put 8 on a sheet to make sure they don't run into each other. They reminded me of cookie sized chocolate cakes.

I love this recipe. I used Dutch cocoa and only used about a half cup. I also added a pinch or so more baking soda. I was extremely worried about them expanding like everyone has mentioned so I rolled them into fairly small balls. They turned out great! Didn't expand or get flat and they are DELICIOUS! I topped them with icing sugar and they are a hit in my house!

I just came across this recipe. They turned out great. I creamed the butter and sugar together for a while while I assembled the dry ingredients then added the eggs and vanilla. One thing I did is use bread flour (bought the wrong kind at the store) and it still works. I used a small scoop and then took a 2 tbsp. measuring spoon and flattened them. I was going to put some German chocolate frosting on them but they are great as is.

My 6 year old grandson and I enjoyed preparing this recipe together. Simple and easy. The cookies are light and delicious, a big hit!

I haven't made these yet, will tonight. I read what everyone said about them, earlier today, I read some tips about making cookies, one said if the cookies spread and come out flat, try chilling the cookie dough first. I always chill my pumpkin nut cookie dough first and alot of other kinds.

I made these they were easy and delicious was not too sweet and they were light. We really enjoyed them.

Just found this recipe. I hope this is the one I used to make years ago and lost the recipe. Very good cookies. Very soft and chewy. Love them.

Just found this recipe cleaning out my parents house. We made these all the time when I was a child. My Mom always rolled the dough into 2 "logs" and wrapped in wax paper & refrigerated it. We would then slice and bake.

We like this cookie recipe. I was worried about the cookies spreading as some said. I added about a forth cup more Dutch Cocoa. Also just a pinch more baking soda. Rolled into teaspoon size balls. Came out fine. Thank you for this recipe!
