AMERICAN FRUIT TART | |
1 (15 oz.) pkg. Pillsbury all ready pie crust 1 (8 oz.) pkg. Philadelphia Brand cream cheese, softened 1/4 c. sugar 2 tsp. lemon juice 1/2 c. whipping cream Assorted fresh fruit 1/4 c. Kraft apricot preserves 1 tbsp. water On lightly floured surface, roll pastry to 12 inch circle. Place in 10 inch tart pan or quiche dish. Prick bottom and sides of pastry with fork. Bake at 400 degrees for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown. Cool. Combine cream cheese, sugar, and juice, mixing at medium speed of electric mixer until well blended. Add whipping cream; mix at high speed until light and fluffy. Spread into pie shell; chill several hours. Arrange fruit on tart; brush with combined preserves and water. 8 to 10 servings. Preparation time: 25 minutes plus cooling and chilling. Baking time: 11 minutes. Variation: Substitute 9 inch pie plate for tart pan. |
