100% WHOLE WHEAT BREAD 
2 c. milk
1/3 c. honey or molasses
4 tsp. salt
3 yeast cakes
2 c. lukewarm water
10 c. whole wheat flour
1/3 c. melted shortening

Scald milk, add honey and salt. Cool. Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water and add to milk, 2 cups flour and shortening. Mix well. Add remaining flour. Cover and set in warm place to let rise for about an hour. Knead, using as little flour as possible. Cover and let stand on kneading board until double in bulk, about 40 minutes. Shape into loaves and put in pans. Place a clean tea towel over the loaves and let stand for 30 minutes. Bake in oven at 375 degrees for 1 hour. This makes 3 large or 4 small loaves.
