GARLICKY GREEN BEANS WITH
MUSHROOMS
 
1 lb. fresh green beans
1 tsp. butter
Vegetable cooking spray
1 c. quartered fresh mushrooms
2 clove garlic, minced
1/4 tsp. onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste

Wash beans; trim ends and remove strings. Arrange in a vegetable steamer, and place over boiling water. Cover and steam 5 minutes. Drain, and plunge into cold water and drain again.

Melt butter in non-stick skillet. Add mushrooms and garlic; saute 3 minutes or until mushrooms are tender. Add beans, onion powder, salt and pepper; stir well. Cook 3 minutes or until thoroughly heated.

Yield: 8 servings (about 25 calories per 1/2 cup serving).
