CHEESE BISCUITS 
1/2 lb. very sharp cheddar cheese
1/2 lb. butter, softened
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
Pecans or walnuts
1 egg, lightly beaten
Paprika

Mix first four ingredients with a large, heavy spoon or knead by hand. Form into walnut-sized balls with a pecan or walnut IN THE CENTER of each ball. Glaze each ball with egg and sprinkle with paprika.

Bake on ungreased cookie sheets for about 12 minutes. THESE KEEP WELL AND FREEZE WELL. 50 biscuits.
