1 1/2 sticks butter
2 c. flour
1 egg
Pinch salt
1 c. light brown sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder

Cream butter and brown sugar together. Add egg and blend well. Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Add to other ingredients. Roll out a little dough at a time, between wax paper, flour a little. Cut into rounds with small cutter (1/4-1/2 inch thick). Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Put 2 cookies together with tart jelly or frosting. Frost top of cookie and sprinkle with pink sugar or piece of cherry.
