EASY CARAMEL FROSTING 
2 tbsp. butter
1 c. brown sugar, packed
1/8 tsp. salt
1/3 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
About 1 1/2 c. sifted confectioners sugar
Chopped nuts

Melt butter over medium heat. Add sugar and salt; stir until sugar is dissolved. Add milk. Cook about 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Cool. Pour into mixing bowl, add vanilla and confectioners sugar. Blend in on Fold-Blend speed, then beat on Beat-Whip speed until creamy. (If mixtures gets too thick, thin with a little cream or it too thin, add a little confectioners sugar.) Quickly spread on cake. Sprinkle with chopped nuts. Frosts two 8 inch layer, 9 x 9 x 2 inch or 13 x 9 x 2 inch cake.
